Liverpool midfielder Adam Lalana says goodbye to the club, which is leaving as a free agent after a 6-year stay. He did so in a letter on Instagram, thanking everyone related to his time at Anfield.
Here is what the footballer wrote:
Only love and gratitude for the last 6 years.
Thanks to the amazing people who made this place feel like my home.
To the fans for accepting me and making me feel like one of them.
To the people from the coaching staff, a world-class headquarters, without which none of the players` achievements would have been possible. I can`t find words to describe how important they are to me, they are everything!
To Brendan Rodgers, I will always be grateful that you gave me the privilege of representing this club.
To Jurgen Klopp, who is an even better man than a football manager.
To my teammates, they are my brothers. Sharing this adventure with these guys made me feel like the luckiest person in the game.
To the captain, Jordan Henderson my best friend! No one deserves success more than this man. It meant everything to me to be by his side as he achieved it. And my own family, my wife and children, my mother, my father and my sister my own team. They made the good times even better and the bad times bearable. I am so grateful to have been a part of this special place. And now to the next adventure.
With love,
Adam
